Vibrating Hopper consists of a hopper, directional mechanism, support springs, electromagnet, and base. Most hoppers are disc-type (some are straight-groove type), with a spirally rising inclined chute on the inner side of the disc. The directional mechanism is set near the outlet of the chute, where workpieces undergo directional movement along the inclined chute. The support springs are typically 3 or 4 leaf springs installed at an angle. The electromagnet serves as the vibration source, connected to an AC power supply or a half-wave rectified pulsating current. The armature is mounted at the bottom of the hopper, and the air gap can be adjusted. When powered, the electromagnet attracts and releases the armature at a certain frequency, causing the hopper to reciprocate in torsion and vibrate up and down under the support of the inclined leaf springs.
